i have a 99 ram 1500 318, in the past 3 months i have changed water pump, radiator, 6 thermostats, 5 caps, timing cover gasket, had heater core flushed and bypassed to rule that out. but finially just had a complete head job no fun intended. my gaskets were good but had one head a little warped. the problem im having is when you first start up the truck antifreeze will come out of the top hose over the thermostat housing and where it clamps to the radiator, its like it get to much pressure. my hose will be rock hard. i have took it back probaly a dozen times and they have tore it back down to the timing cover twice. they can not figure out why its doing it. they thought it had to be head gaskets but it didnt fix it .my temp gauge never reads hot but it does read cool like maybe 160, but i do have decent heat. any ideas on what this could be would be greatly appreciated, as im close to getting rid of it but i have a lot of money tied into it. thanks ed

Couple of things to ask without seeing the truck.......

Have you verified the belt routing and know that the water pump and everything else is spinning the correct direction?
Have you changed the thermostat housing, hose and clamp? Antifreeze is leaking past the hose clamp onto it? Am I understanding correct?

thanks for replying and yes belt is right and new to, they have checked water pump peller to make sure its on right, ,housing has been changed with hoses one from autozone and they tried one from napa. . and yes there is a small stream that comes down between hose and housing, and it drips from the top hose and radiator, the clamps are tight but somehow the antifreeze leaks pass it. it normally only does it at start up, once its driven a while it seems to stop but will leak alot first thing in the morn thanks

You've done so many things already.....maybe get a block tester tool, or get someone that has one to test for exhaust gases in the coolant for you. Eliminating the heads, I'm thinking a crack in the block.

OEM/Block Tester (27145) | Block Tester | AutoZone.com

they tested for that several times and even left it on a pressure tester for a weekend nothen, but we decided to go ahead and try the heads.thinking it might be a gasket just not bad enough to come up on the tests. gaskets were good with one head a little warped, sent to machine shop got them shaved . im starten to worry it may be more with the block but the truck run goods, doesnt leak anywhere else except those two places, doesnt make since.
