Hey guys, new here.

Going to be ordering a new 2015 1500 4x4 CC Short Box this week or next.

Been researching the hell out of Rams, went on a couple test drives, and I am in LOVE with these trucks.

I will be ordering a Sport or Longhorn. But here's where I am a tad confused.

- Does adding the 'premium leather bucket seats' on the Sport include the heated and cooled seats, as well as the heating steering wheel? The 'comfort group' gets taken off whenever you add the leather seats, and the only thing the leather seats say for a description is that they're ventilated?!?

- Besides the Longhorn having the exterior and interior appearance differences, nicer leather and rear heated seats, you can load the Sport with options and essentially make it the exact same truck, except for appearance and second row heated seats, right? I'm still trying to wrap my head around that. Seems like the Longhorn is 100% an appearance package with nicer seats, since the Sport can be loaded to match the Longhorn's standard features.

- Final questions... if I was to get the Longhorn, what's the consensus? Monotone or two-tone? I know it's my choice but I seriously can't decide, I think I'd get the two-tone because it's unique but worried I would get tired of it. Anyone have any pictures of two-tone Longhorns on here? I haven't seen a single two-tone Longhorn that has been outfitted with a lift, bigger tires, etc...

Thanks for the help.

Premium leather comes with ventilated seats, and by default also come with heated seats and wheel so it supersedes the comfort group. Thats why it removes it when you build a truck online.

You're right, longhorn is basically an appearance package with the heated rear seats... deciding factor for me was that i hate chrome.

Not much help here but I waivered back and forth on the Granite Chrystal monotone and two tone. Literally for two weeks before I place the order. I them happened to drive next to a Granite Chrystal 2500 4x4 Mega Cab Laramie that was monotone and seemed optioned identical to my listed truck. As we slowly drove by it on the freeway both my wife and I looked at each other and said at the same time, "monotone". No joke.

I think the two tone looks good if you keep stock wheels and tires otherwise I like mono'

Thanks for the input.

Now I have to decide between the Sport and Longhorn! I was set on the Longhorn for a while but now that I know the only difference is appearance and second row heated seats, it's extremely hard to justify the $3500-4000 more expensive Longhorn.

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you. There is no real wrong choice here, you end up with the best truck on the planet either way. :favorites13:

I'm in the Maritimes. I just used unhaggle for the 'invoice' price on the Sport and Longhorn. A Sport and Longhorn configured the same works out to be $52,769 out the door for the Sport and the Longhorn is $56,037. Only a $3300 dollar difference but still...

That's with the $9000 dollar factory incentive, plus $1500 dollar truck owner rebate.

Haha! Leafs fan I presume. It's a shame y'all didn't get in the playoffs... nor get McDavid ;).

The premium seats on the Sport are the cheap leather not the same as a Longhorn. Had them replace the drivers cushion under warranty on my Laramie (same as Sport). There are other differences like lights behind the door handles and storage areas as well, unless they added them to the Sport recently. Once you have the Longhorn it would be very tough to go back to a Sport. As for two tone, the painted bumper on my Longhorn is starting to rust badly and needing paint. Not wanting to go back to the cheap seats and wanting chrome bumpers, I just factory ordered a Deep Cherry Limited with appearance pkg. Good leather, mono tone and almost the same price as a Longhorn. Order what you like. You really can't go wrong with any of them.

I'm on my second Sport. I like the painted to match everything and the optional non-functional hood. I have kids and use my truck a lot so having the combo seats is easier rather than the nicer all leather. I have the premium group so all the bells and whistles heated and ventilated etc

Can't go wrong with either choice. Good luck.

That's the problem. One day I like the Sport, the next the two-tone Longhorn, the next the monotone Longhorn! I'm going insane trying to decide. I do know that I will be getting the Cattle Tan and Black interior! Lol

I'm even still deciding between Ram and Silverado a bit... I know, I know. How dare I. But that 6.2L just sounds so tempting lol. The complaints of vibrations and crappy throttle response has really put me off of GM though.

I want to order soon to have the truck for summer. So I need to decide. I just didn't think it would be this hard. My gut is saying Longhorn so it'll probably end up being a Longhorn.

I really like the set-up of that. Anyone know what the exterior color is? I think it's black but there's a certain blue-ish tinge to it.

Vote here for a Sport. Love the look of the Sport hood and monochromatic paint. Either way you decide, you will be very happy! O and by the way, stay the hell away from the GM trucks! I had a 2014 Sierra and a 2015 Sierra. Both had the 6.2L. The 2014 had the horrible vibration issues and was bought back by GM. My 2015 had the new 8L90 8-Speed and it was riddle with problems that GM deemed "normal" and it too had the vibration issue. I dumped the Sierra for the Ram and could not be happier! Yeah, the GM 6.2L has more power than my Ram, but the overall driving experience and performance of the Ram is night and day better than my Sierra.
