I am trying to figure out what fender flares to get. My problem is that I think that it would look best if it stops at the black plastic bumper instead of going over it. New black plastic on old black plastic doesn't sound good to me. I would prefer smooth without rivets if possible. I've scoured google and can't come up with something, but they don't all have pictures of what it would look like.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I just installed some on my truck too and I think they look fine. Only thing is if your grill is chrome and what headlights you have. Personally I’m going to plastidip my grill and get some new black projector headlights as I don’t like the look of the chrome and black trims. 3aeb72201c06b0e316dc5f2a894d6801.jpg

Thank you for the picture!! I've been looking all over to see how the fender flare over plastic would look and it looks fine!
I'll snap a 3/4 pic in a few. At first it looked a bit weird with chrome bumpers, regular lights and the non chrome 20s. I blacked the grill out, got some oem style black heads and with these new wheels I think it flows pretty good aesthetically.

If the plastics are a bit faded compared to the new flares, a little back to black, or some other trim restorer works well. Wd40 also seems to bring them back, but collects dust. Just be a bit mindful that flares will ruin the paint where they meet the body unless you get some clear vinyl behind them. I put a soft rubber seal behind mine and it still wore the paint bad.

You should spray the bumpers with some raptor liner .... that is what I am going to do to mine in the next couple of weeks ...just got my hands on the bushwackers and also the honeycomb grille .. can't wait !
Funny you say that as I've been looking at doin it over the summer. I wasn't sure if blacking the entire front end out would be too much but I think it'll look better than 2 random pieces of chrome. If I do it I'll likely do the flares, grille and bumpers to get all 1 texture on all the pieces. Getting the liner products to stick to chrome is a PITA I won't lie but I'll see how it goes.

I'm commuting 170 miles a day so this poor truck is catching a beating to the exterior.

As always post pics when you get your stuff installed. Sounds like it's gonna be some nice upgrades!

Yes definitely going to take good preparation to get it to stick to the bumpers... it definitely looks good but everything on the front has to be black and the fender flares as well to pull it off in my opinion
