I was following a post on adding a shock sensor to the factory alarm which has none.

It Seems the wiring posted is not fully correct in the post.

So im trying to find the wire that will trigger the alarm as if the door is open. Suppose to be a negative trigger. Picture is of the plug on driver side left and the person said he found the violet wire to be the trigger wire.

I sat in truck doors closed and alarm on. I tried a couple of wires to ground but no alarm. If I open the door alarm will go off.

So in the picture can anyone tell which wire might be the negative trigger wire. Its very hard to check this out because you have to be at the connector on floor but doing so means the door is open so you can see what you are doing.

Other poster shows he is using the blue wire as the trigger wire, i tried and nothing.

I even sat in truck waited for lights to go out and added ground to the blue wire and no trigger to set the alarm off.

any help appreciated

Here is picture of connector 1 IMG_3464.JPG

The factory truck "alarm" is not "armed" until you get the flashing red LED on the speedometer (right by the needle). Are you sure your truck has the Vehicle Security System enabled? Lock the doors, wait several minutes and make sure the LED is flashing. Then open the door using just the inside handle.
Going off of memory from looking up the wire for my '15(I haven't installed the shock sensor yet), it is a Pink wire that goes to the door latch sensor.

Yes has the red light flashes then blinks slow.

As I stated I sat in truck with the alarm armed and tried to trigger it with touching a couple of wires to ground and guess I did not have the correct wire.

It on the Body Control Module under the dash, the other connections are in the door
If you print out the PDF, the pages should line up.

I dont have a pic right now but I believe C6 is on the firewall, if you look under the dash above and to the left of the brake pedal you'll see the truck side of it facing you, a whole bunch of wires going into it and a small "handle" looking thing that you flip to unlock the connector.

could someone who might know what connector and wire color is the driverside negative door trigger.

Just cant seem to find the wire, its suppose to be pin 9 violet. If i count the pin # there is no violet wire.

Here are my connectors

Figures but Ill figure it out know that I know where to get to the wire im looking for.

Is there an easier way to get to a door trigger wire maybe under the plastic molding on the floor?

Per the wiring diagram, it is pin #9 of the connector that goes into the door.Screenshot_20190508-164006~2.jpg

I did see that on someones post going to see if I can find the wiring for the rear driver side door the should run under the plastic molding to the rear.

That would eliminate me removing the amp for the radio. might be easier looks like pin 18 on C7 violet/gray. Should be there running to rear door hopefully
thanks for you help
