I just got my eBay 2500 oem style flares the other day. They look and fit very nice. I can't decide if I want to paint them body color or leave them flat black. I'm kinda liking the flat black. What's your guys thoughts on it?

Well I do paint and body work for a living, so it will cost me little to no money to paint them. It's just a matter of which way I like them better.

Normally I would say paint them, but the flat black makes a pretty good looking contrast on your truck.

I like the flat look on your truck, gives it a nice contrast. Makes the rest of the truck stand out.

Yeah I'm leaning towards the flat also. Like you guys said, it does give it a nice contrast.

And if you get tired of it you could always paint them down the road. Instead of painting them now then changing your mind.

Paint, leaving them like that looks like a half-ass job.

If you want them matte then atleast paint them matte

No point in painting them matte when they already are. The finish on them are UV protected.

I think the textured plastic gives it a nice contrast. Matches the steps n door handles.
I like em as is. And they won't get chipped on the leading edge from rocks either.

I think the flat works for your truck, ties into the nerf bars too. As mentioned, you can always change your mind later.

I just got my 2500 flares off eBay myself & going on tomorrow. I found mine painted to match my trucks color.
I'd paint them or put a uv coding on them because from what I was told, if they are matte black the way they came factory, they will fade with time.
But yes the 2500 flares look good on the sports and expresses which only ones the 2500's will fit.
