Well I decided to make a build thread since I'm actually doing something to my truck now! haha

Anyways I'll start off by replacing my headlights because they are really really dirty and I need new ones anyways haha

Here's the truck before I did anything to it.

Here are a few close up views of the old headlights.

I ran into a little problem and had to remove the bumper to properly install the headlights.

Turns out that this little bracket was the problem.

I replaced it here

I installed my drivers side headlight without a problem.

But my passengers side headlight didn't go as well, I got it to fit but it's not on correctly because of my messed up fender.

I went to AutoFit and got a replacement fender for $65 (along with the bumper bracket for $40). I didn't take a picture of it, so here's one off the internet!

Here is the paint-in-progress fender.

And here's my truck with the two headlights on minus the aftermarket fender and bumper! haha

I will post more pictures as they come!

Edit: Just got my HID fog lights in! I just need to get the fog lamps in, and I'm ready to install!

I actually don't know yet because I haven't driven it since I put them in haha
I took it apart and didn't put it back together because I was going to replace the pasenger side fender which I did. I'll post pics in a bit!

I went one step forward and two steps back as you'll see in a bit.

On to my step forward and two steps back... or maybe 1.5 steps back?

So here's the finished passengers side fender! Everything looks good right? (apart from the few dents and scratches that were already there before)

Here's the new fender that I painted, which looks pretty decent at night(not so good during the day). I didn't do a good job of painting it but it somewhat matched so I'm happy.

When I first saw the front of my truck, I was fairly happy because it looked good. Until I saw this:

and this

Since my truck had a bent bumper bracket, the other bracket that holds the front bumper assembly together was obviously bent as well but I didn't really think about it. So now I have a bent bumper that looks pretty bad to me when I pay attention to it. If you don't really pay attention to the truck then you won't really notice it. I might get that fixed in a few weeks.

Dang, I understand the feeling about 1 step forward 2 steps back.

You will get it all figured out! Good work so far!

Thanks guys... Maybe I'll show off the fog lights sometime on Tuesday if I get my fog lamps in on time.

I've been so freaking busy with school lately that haven't had time to post up my pictures of the new fog lamps and hids!
Well I finally have time, and here they are!

The package that I've been waiting for in the mail to start on my lights!

The HID's

To make my life easier, since I'm installing both new lamps and HID's, I decided to install the HID's before I install the lamps.

I zip tied the ballast onto the brackate that's holding onto the bumper.

Zip tied all the wires together so that they don't hang.

Here's a pic of the finished product. Does anyone know what the rubber groment is for? It feels out of place there.

The lights on during the day. Haven't had a chance to take a picture at night.

Hope you guys liked it!

Looks nice. I'm not sure what that rubber grommet thing is either. I have those on my new fog harnesses too.

One word of advise, put the ballast on the inside of that bracket. If the zip tie breaks ( and they do get brittle in the winter months) you don't want it to just hang there and wear down wires on a metal edge. On the inside it will just fall and sit in the bumper until you get a chance to fix it.

the grommet is standard on HID bulbs - just in case its needed. 9006 bulbs are used in a LOT of applications, but in this case - not needed. Hell, cut it off? LOL

Thanks for the info everyone!
I'll move the ballast when I have time and if I'm not feeling lazy, I'll remove the rubber grommet as well haha
