Hello from Oz. Took delivery of a 24 laramie week before Xmas. Man this is a beast and a sweet ride. Coming from toyotas all my life i gotta say these are next level. Bit apprehensive about all the tech and heading remote down under so looking at scan tools. Fitted pre-reg GVM with 2"lift, offroad animal toro bar, lazer sentinal 9" lights and a 190L long range tank. Researching into scan tools atm to change tank size and 33" tyres being fitted soon. If anyone could link me to the right thread here on scan tools would be appreciated. OBD2 MX+ with alphaobd and gateway cable appears to be popular

I have a sister in NZ and they do, have a hell of time when they come for a visit want to drive into traffic, Mind you some that where born here try it as well at times.

Congrats on yer purchase and to the forum. AS far as scan tools, others more competent than me need to chime in. MY advice to you on yer ride, is stay on TOP of maintenance, use quality filters and oils, and do not go by the 12070K to 16093K oil change recommendations periods. Change every 8046K or less. Suggest full synthetic and synthetic filters also, but I have no clue what type of availability of products you have "down under". (7500 miles/10000 miles/ OCI. Do 5,000 mile changes).

1 QUESTION: Is your 5.7L an E Torque equipped ride or non E Torque???

100% on the maintenance mate. I followed the motor oil geeks procedure for new engine. 500,1500,3000 then 5000k oil changes using full synthetic. Ive hit the 3k change last week. We have access to quite a few things down under but dammed if i can find the penzzoil ultra plat. We do have the american truck co and other vendors that sell RAM accessories. RAMs are are getting a huge following down here and theres some specialty workshops that deal with alot upgrades etc. Yeh i have the etorque system which im hoping i wont regret.

The bumper we call a roo bar, made by offroad animal. The series i have is called a toro bar. After finding out how much those LED headlights were to replace i decided to put a bit more steel up front for protection.
