New Dual Exhaust (video)

I recently got dual exhaust on my 1983 Dodge Ram W150. It has a 318 motor in it. The set-up is as follows: catalytic converter, Y exit, & 4" tips. It's not as loud as I wanted it to be, so I might take the catalytic converter out, and add a straight pipe, or add a muffler to it. I'm open to any suggestions. Let me know your honest opinion on how it sounds.

I think addidng a muffler will quiet it even more.....im assuming you are not running one right now

I thought there's mufflers out there that make it louder. I'm not running a muffler at the moment.

Muffler .. means Muffle of sound .. so adding one will make it quieter . I would leave it .. sounds great

A few of my friends are telling me that depending on what muffler I get, a muffler can make it louder.

It will make it sound different, but I really don't think its going to change how loud it is.
