Hello from central Indiana.
I'm in the process of picking out a truck, I found this forum via a Google search for truck related fora.
I'm looking for an older model, one that should be fairly easy to work on my self.
I have a line on a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Quad Cab. It has the 5.9 V8 and an automatic transmission. The listed mileage is 122,000 and the asking price is $6995.00. I have to admit, 1999 is a bit newer than I had planned on.
It has been lifted 2 inches and has new 35" BFG Mud-Terrain A/T tires on Centerline Aluminum wheels. It also has a Ram-Air hood.
From the photos, the truck looks to be in great shape. No visible rust or body damage, and the leather upholstery looks great. Assuming no mechanical issues, does this sound like a good deal?
Also, should I expect any issues from the suspension due to the minor lift and larger wheels/tires?
I will be looking at and test driving the truck tomorrow. Is there anything in particular I should be looking for?
Thanks.
