Not the first post that I wanted, but here it goes. I just purchased my new 2018 1500 Bighorn. This is my first Ram. Finally got my dream truck. Or so I thought. I have had the truck for 3 weeks. Yesterday was the first day that I personally washed it. While drying the truck I found multiple imperfections in the paint under the clear coat. I’m going to take it back to the dealership for them to see it. It will be very upsetting if the truck needs to be repainted. Not what I expected for a $40,000 truck. I would have never purchased it.

Stuff happens. That's why you have a warranty.

Heck, I had my 2014 for all of 2 weeks and it went back into the shop for an engine replacement.

I would take it back to the dealer but have them pay the bill so that you can take it to a reputable shop that specializes in paint correction so they can fix it and on top of that you can probably get a ceramic coat on top of it. I can almost guarantee you that the dealer will mess it up if they do it. They are some of the worst when it come to this kind of stuff. Happened to me when I bought a brand new tundra and they left it even worse then when I took it to them it was full of swirl marks. Just my opinion

Looks like the clear coat had moisture in it or under it. A problem I believe created by too much humidity.
