2007 Ram MegaCab 2500 owner. 5.9 = Last of the real CTDs!

I'm a mechanic at a family owned Chrysler dealership and this is my third Dodge truck, second MegaCab. 4" lift, 37" Toyo Open Country ATs.

Had an '07 MegaCab 1500 with the Hemi engine in it - Big Mistake, no power, not even with the optional 4.10 gears. Too heavy of a truck for a gasser in my opinion very bad off-road, no torque, heavy truck needs lots of torque. (no offense to any Mega gasser owners).

Other Ram was a '97 V10, nice truck, good power, gobs of torque for a gasser, but I couldn't afford the 7 mpgs.

Thanks guys. I'll be in the woods hunting most of the weekend. We rent a huge tract in Alabama from a paper company. But I'll be sure to get a couple of pics up monday after work.

Theres the one with the Z but I'm too old and poor for that style of a Truck and I like to keep my Boxer shorts tucked in and wear my BallCap like a ballCap....LOL.

Really Though this Forum is the Best One IMO as the members really love their Trucks. I beleive there are a Few Diesel specific ones you may wanna checkout and recall the word Bomz as I ran across it before while researching ordnance.
