I love how they look, but didn't get the halos or the LEDs wired in yet, but I should be getting a new grille in the next couple days so I will do it when I install the new grille. One question for anyone who would know, is for wiring in the halos and LEDs, the instructions say to wire them into the daytime running lights, now I'm not totally sure what wires I'd be tapping them into. If anyone has any guidance or suggestions about maybe wiring them into something different that would be better, or the best way to wire em up, any suggests or help, and maybe if anyone knows where to find the wiring schematic would be awesome.
Thanks !

I had them. can't help with the wiring too much. Previous owner had them in. He tied the halo's together and then tapped into the headlight hot wire.

He should've tapped into the signal wire.

I would think that you want to wire them to a keyed hot so they act as DRL's. They should be on whenever the key is on. As LED's they don't draw much current, so you could just poke around the fuse box for a hot that comes on with the key I think.

Also let your insurance company know that you've installed DRL's. There may be a safety discount for having them.

Are these HID's? Looks like a good fit. Not crazy about DRL's so I personally would wire them to the parking lights. But if you want them all the time you'd have to do what's mentioned above.

I wired mine to the parking lots to act as DRLs. Light output is good in mine.

DRL's are on 30% power on the hi-beams in gear. It's controlled by the ECM. The halo's and LED's were not really all that bright on mine.

None of the wires are hot unless you went to the FB. I didn't do the original install. The previous owner did. It was a mess.

I think I have a couple of pictures of the back. I could post them up for you if you think it might help? Or I could take a couple of what's left. I still have them sitting in the garage.

Did you go with HID's or non just the housing with your current halogens?

Me?

They were halogen projectors. I put HID's in all 4 after the fact. The lows were pretty good and they threw a decent amount of light.

Going to highs with HID's in those housings was a bad idea. I had to modify the backing plate to get the bulb in. Then it didn't sit right. Should've left the halogens in for what it mattered in the Hi-beams.

I do have pictures of the HID's in the Spec-D's in another thread.

We'll I'm pretty sure I already have drls because I live in Canada, so I've heard all Canadian vehicles come with the drls already installed or programmed or w.e
I was thinking of tying the LEDs into the constant or hot wire for the turning signal.
But not sure about the halos, should I wire them to the turning signal as well.

The light output is good, I've noticed my driver side is brighter than the passenger. But I might have not put the passenger side in properly it could be aimed lower on the passenger side making it seem dimmer if ya know what I mean.

They're not the HIDs just the halos and LEDs with projectors and they completely replace my stock lights.
I've read things about people having problems with HIDs so I chose to not to go with them.

Heywood, if ya got the pics an could put me up easy that might help, If it'd be a pain then don't worry about it, but thanks !

And thanks everyone else for the help

NP..

I have a couple here and I could take a couple more. They're just sitting loose in the garage. Thank god for an iPhone and iCloud. makes it easy.

The HID's in the lo's were pretty good. It wasn't that difficult. Add the HID's in the fogs and I couldn't complain.

Ah yeah, I've been trying to think of what to do with my fogs now.
Was thinkin of trying to get the halos in there aswell to match the headlights,
Then I heard you had to pull the front bumper to change them lol so yeah dunno what to do with my fogs.
I've looked for kits or something but can't seem to find any that would directly replace my stocks.
I like being able to put things back to stock easily if I need to incase of any problems or anything just to make things easier.
I dunno what really do to do cuz I don't really know much lol
Have you ever had any problems with your HIDs like power wise or one shutting off or anything like that?

Just putting an HID into the fogs was easy. I didn't change the housing. I didn't use a harness. It was pretty much plug & play as far as HID's go.

I did a quick "How To" for Unit91 just a few days ago on the fogs. Some good info there and not just me.

http://www.ramforum.com/f41/hid_help_pictures-42387/

The only issue (and it's not really. very common) was the TPMS light coming on for 5 seconds when the fog lights first come on. As for changing the housing? I'm not sure I want to tackle that right now. I like how they are.

Look at JJ's site for projector fogs. Anything you need, he'd have it and he knows Dodge Trucks.

Aaand I absolutely love it ! Happy with it so far.

Hell Ya!!!

That looks killer. Tie's the whole front end together.

If you get tired of the amber signals, a good place to look is Retroshop and their switchbacks. Work flawlessly.

Don't get me wrong, I really love the look on your truck and wouldn't be in a hurry to change what you've done.

Well done sir.... Thx for the pic's

Thanks man ! Appreciate it!
I wouldn't mind not having the amber ones there but I was told that they need to be amber for the turning signal in bc or Canada so I don't really know.
Now I kinda need to figure something out for the fogs lol
