I just got a 2007 Ram 1500 Quad Cab. It's 2wd but I think it would look beautiful lifted. Any opinions? Know where I could get a kit?

Thanks,
Chase

With only a 3.7L engine, I'd be careful how much you lift it. Too big a tire and you'll kill your drivability. You'd definitely want to re-gear it with a 4.10 or more IMO.

You could level it and just put larger tires on it and re-gear it. That'd be a cost effective way to make it look cool and still be able to keep some drivability.

Welcome to Rf. If you want it lifted go for it. Plenty of lifted two wheel drive trucks.

Nah... It would be cost prohibitive to do so. Best bet is to find a truck with the right drive train and mod it.

You can do it with the V6, but it'll be slower than snot and really punish the engine. A level kit and some big tires with some different gears and an locker would be great and you wouldn't lose too much drivability.

That 3.7L is just an anemic power source.

This is of course JMO... Others will chime in I'm sure...

So re-gearing it, bigger tires, and a leveling kit? What would that do in terms of drivability?

Chase doing the level with bigger tires and gears should be on par with what you have now far as being able to drive it. The gears are gonna help the bigger tires turn. Post up a pic of the truck and we can try helping ya figure out the best route.
