Hi Everyone....

I am new to this forum but not new to online vehicle specific forums. I bought this truck used in 2019 as a 2017 model year truck. It is not my daily or pleasure vehicle, its a truck. It does truck stuff. Since I dont daily this truck I have left it completely stock, less window tints and a bed cover.

I am currently in the process of adding the 2019 classic radio to the truck to get the CarPlay functions and with a little help from @Mpgrimm2

Since I am on this kick of doing some updates I am going to handle a few other things such as the exhaust manifolds, sagging emergency brake cable and a couple other odds and ends to bring it back to perfect (like I bought it).

Ill see you along the way.

Isn't a tough job to upgrade the radio, I put a 2019 classic radio in my 2018. Worst job was removing the steering wheel stuff to install the control switches on the back of the steering wheel.

Thankfully I already had the 8.4 with the controls and all the bells, just no CarPlay. Looking forward to bringing this truck in to the new millennium

Nice! It is really nice to use the maps on the phone. AA Wireless has their 3rd version of the wireless dongle coming out next year that will work with Apple and CarPlay. I guess there is beta software out now that maybe(?) allows their second gen dongle support Apple, but not really sure what it is all about as I am Android.
