This is my introduction post. I recently picked up an ole 99 with a lot that needs to be done. I'm still contemplating what I want it to be in the end. I picked it up thinking it would be just an old farm truck but my imagination runs wild and keeps me up nights. Before anything I just need to get it road worthy enough to take down to the tag office to get a tag. Issues most pressing are,
1) Rattling transmission noise at idle - I found that 3 torque convertor bolts were missing and the one remaining was loose. I don't know yet the extent of any damage, I'm picking up a set of new bolts and blue locktite this afternoon. No sign or trace of the missing bolts.
2) "Shutters" when gets to overdrive, feels like a misfire. Can't accelerate through it, only stops when it drops back into 4th. Can't switch OD off. I suspect the reason I can't switch OD off is related to the issue below.
3) Power windows and blower won't work. Both work when wired directly to 12V. I think I have it narrowed down to the ignition switch, wondering if OD is related. When checking the blower relay I saw that the starter relay was missing, a heavier gauge red wire is coming from the terminal and goes down to the starter, I'm not sure why or what I should do about that.

So I have my hands full and welcome any advise. Hopefully I'll be able to offer some along the way.

Had one of these, and the TPS and can cause some of those drivability issues. When trying to figure mine out, I also double checked the TV cable adjustment. Not sure if that could contribute, since mine was close to being correctly set already.
