... And I use the term "old" loosely. Last week I acquired a 2005 1500 SLT Quad Cab with 5.7L Hemi. I have been looking for a truck for a while, this one popped up as a killer deal, and so far I'm happy with it. However, it did have the fuel pump die on me Sunday. So now it's getting a new pump and return line. The DAPO zip-tied the return line onto the tank instead of using the compression fittings.

With a hair under 200k miles on the odometer, I have a few items on the repair list over the next few months:
  • Replace front & rear wheel bearings, with Abs sensors
  • Replace steering rack & tie rod ends (mine leaks)
  • Upper and lower control arm ball joints
  • New polyurethane bushings all around
  • New front grille
  • Fix bumps and dings all around, prep for paint and rubberized bed coating.
That's just to start! I'm told these hemi engines go for 350k+ miles before needing any serious work. We'll see if the transmission lasts that long though. Finally, here's a pic:
