As we say here in Hawaii Howzit? This is my first try at an online forum.60 years old is that too late? I am a drywall contractor(dinosaur)I still hang with my crew.I am old school. Refuse to pay a mechanic(other than for advice). I love my 97 truck. Never wash it, which drives lots of folks mad. She runs great cause I take care of her.Still carry 12 foot sheets of drywall and lots of buckets of mud.Don't care if somebody bangs her in a parking lot. She is a Titta(tough chick don't care how she looks) but still gets it in 4wheel. I don't like ****** about myself too much. I kinda learn the hard way and it seems like cheatin watching a video of somebody else doing the job I'm about to try. But at my age I get a little tired sooner and the video's save me some crawling under the truck as much. Well that is my intro. Can I ask a question? I will. I broke the damn valve on the rollover valve changing my fuel pump.Bought the pump Sat. at parts store.Need the truck Monday.What does the valve do? Cut off fuel if I crash? Would be grateful for any thoughts Amigoman

To the best of my knowledge the rollover valve is exactly as you suspected. It keeps fuel from pouring out in the event of a rollover. I don't think it has any affect on the pump itself.
