Thanks guys!!

Little more progress tonight. I got basically the entire dash ripped apart. All this just to replace the cracked dash and heater core!!

Also took the opportunity to clean up and reorganize some of my wiring behind the dash. Also ran the wire for my new hidden antenna behind the dash.

I started to install the new dash cover before calling it quits. I'm really glad I got them to leave the windshield out since it has made this whole job a lot easier!! Still a pain in the ass but definitely easier. Lol

Just a few parts piled in the box!

Yup was definitely the original core in there. It was still good even. Only reason I needed a new one is because I crushed the one pipe coming out of the firewall while swapping engines.

And your more than welcome to come up here and check it out!! Haha or it'll be in the Columbus, Ohio area for the mopar nationals in August again this year.

I'm about 2 hours west of Columbus! Would be cool if I can get out that way.

I'd love to see it, but there is no way I could make the drive. Work too much and make too little. :(

Well the show is from August 7-9 at national trail raceway and I'll be there all weekend. If your around stop on by. We always park by the staging lanes for the track and my truck will be pretty hard to miss!! Haha

Ya I hear ya man. That trip is pretty much my one vacation I take a year. Only reason I can afford to go is because my parents and grandparents also go so I don't end up paying for the hotel.

I live 30 minutes north of Columbus. I used to live off Brice rd until was 13. My dad and I built a 67 belvedere T that ran low 11s and the technician who apprenticed me won super pro in 2001 or 2002. I have SO many Mopar Nats stories. Haha

That's awesome man!! My parents and grandparents have been going for over 20 years now. I only started going about 4 years ago but I've had a blast every time I've gone.

Progress on the truck got slowed down a bit tonight since I had to swap the summer tires onto the little go kart. 2 of the damn winter tires were seized right the **** on and took a good beating to get them to pop off.

After that was done I got back to the truck. The dash is all buttoned back up other than the kick panel underneath the steering column since I've still got a couple wires to run.

Almost forgot to swap the VIN tag from my old dash until my grandpa pointed that one out.

Also got my mirrors installed and hooked up. I'm still debating whether I want to get them and the door handles painted green to.

Oh and I also swapped my blue LEDs in my gauges out for some green LEDs so they match the truck now. Still need to swap the window switches to green now though.

I say leave the mirrors and door handles. Nothing wrong wit a little black breaking up all that green.

Green looks good. I find it funny how you went all blue in that interior, right to the window switches and painstakingly changed them.....now you're going back to green. :D
I have green in my 76 and love it.

I like the color matched mirrors and handles. Looks clean but that's my sense, lol.

The worst part is I did put anti seize on them. Guess I just didn't get enough on them or the damn salt on the roads are it out of there haha

The picture makes the green look kind of like the factory bulbs but in person you can tell it's a different green. Once I figured out how to get the window switches apart the first time they really aren't that bad to do. Should only take me an hour or two to get them apart and switched to green again.

I really kind of enjoy messing around with different colour LEDs so I don't mind changing them again.

I'm usually with you on the colour matched handles and mirrors I just wasn't sure on this green if it would be too much or if it would look good. I think I'll leave them black for this summer and if I decide to colour match them I'll pull them out before winter and get them sprayed green.

Lol what's up wit the tiny little ratchet shifter? Going through all of this work you should get the truck b&m ratchet shifter and build a small console to raise it up even higher and then cover it in carpet.....I've seen a few truck people do that, google it, some of them look good

Only reason I got the ratchet shifter at all was because it was a lot easier easier than trying to hook up the column shifter to the Hemi 545rfe transmission. I will probably get a truck shifter at some point but at the time I didn't have a lot of cash and my buddy had this one that I got for less than half the price of a new one.
