Hello All, I just became a proud Ram owner for the first time. Purchased a used (only 8K miles) 2020 Laramie Quad Cab, 5.7L HEMI. Been looking a long time. Will be towing a small 18 foot bowrider. Getting use to all the new controls and instrumentation. No CD player. Have to put everything on USB. Truck did not have an owner's manual so I will be contacting the Forum as questions arise. Does anyone know where to get an owners manual? Parts Dept. wants $75. Have been looking at manual online - states 87 octane is acceptable, 89 octane is preferable - any comments / thoughts? Engine hours says 218 idle - 330 drive. Does this seem right? Trip A has same number of miles as the total (8,075) and lists hours as 24. How can this be right? Thanks for you input and will post some pics soon.

:party36::party36::welcome::party36::party36: The 89 octane fuel is a better choice, but if needed you can sub. 87 octane fuel.

I have the very same truck. I run 87 most of the time but the truck comes alive with 89. All the difference in the world on wot.

Thanks, will probably burn 89 every 3 or 4 tanks.

Hours include “idle time”. Manual can downloaded from internet. I would highly suggest using only 89 octane. Don’t know what effects the 87 would do but using 91 is definitely asking for the “hemi tick” (happened to me and others). But congrats on truck and welcome!

From the manual...

Ive run a few tanks of 87 and a few of 89 and got 1.5 mpg difference running 89 over 87.
