So I came into a 2019 Laramie with 35k miles...I've known the truck since new. It's well equipped, not loaded (no air ride, no adaptive cruise, etc.). Needs undercoated, but otherwise in near perfect condition inside and out.
Have some questions...
Had a local garage change everything but the transmission over to Amsoil (yes, I could have done it but I didn't have time). They used ATF in the tcase, is that ok; it's that auto 4wd deal.
I bought the PPE pan and Mopar 8/9 fluid, anything else to consider on the transmission? I'm having my local trans guy handle it, again timing.
I have a small head gasket seep at the left rear head. It will hold 18psi overnight, only seems to seep when really hot (e.g., towing). I only found it because the first time I drove it, I smelled coolant and I found the reservoir dry. Anything critical to worry about tight now? No coolant in oil, just this nuisance seep...if it was my Cummins, I'd ignore it. Stop leak fix? Already called about warranty, it expired.
The motorized air dam, at what point/speed does it deploy? Never seen that before...
Any nuances I should be aware of?
The only thing I'm not fond of are the BFG ATs that are on it, noisey and rough. Need to get those off sooner than later.
