What's up guys! I just traded in my 2016 Silverado after being frustrated with transmission shifting issues. I picked up a Ram Limited. I am really impressed at how far ahead of the game that Ram is over Chevy as far as the features and comforts provided!

A few observations so far.
- I love the ride of the truck
- little bit of window wind noise that I don't love
- I have had the automatic warning beeps and big BRAKE light come on once while just driving along with nothing in front of me (it didn't slam the brakes on fortunately)
- a little worried how much the entire vehicle is tied to the computer
- I don't love the dial gear shifter but getting use to it
- Am I the only one that finds the passenger side view mirror utterly useless??

Certainly not complaining, I really love the truck. Looks fantastic, rides like a luxury car and I love the the interior and features. Has anyone else experienced any of these observations?

I'm looking forward to learning from you guys and contributing where I can!

My wife never used the passenger mirror on our '01 1500, but she also ran over the privacy fence and the house on two separate occasions lol

LOL...The mirror works. It reflects and everything. However, there is very very limited visibility through it. I have the mirrors that fold up (I believe for use if you were towing a trailer). When they are in the standard position the outer almost half of it is a "fisheye" mirror and the inner half is a standard mirror. I have to use the "fisheye" part to see anything useful for driving or parking bc I really can't see anything useful in the regular mirror (I take that back..the standard mirror has the little light that tells me if there is a car next to me). I don't know if it is just really magnified or what

Am I the only one that has this issue? I've been driving for 30 years and am a big proponent of using mirrors (even if you have a big ass 12in reverse screen) but if any one has any pointers I am all ears!!

:welcome:to the Forum!

The passenger mirror does have a weird/ large blind spot area. It's basically having them it (or them) angled out pretty far to see either lane but then you can't really see the sides of your rig. I have both mine set to see a slight bit of the tail end of the truck. When driving if I can see the entire vehicle I passed in either mirror I know I am well ahead for any lane changes. I do however use my spot mirrors for lane changes and just in general. It definitely take a small adjustment period to get used to them. I've had my Ram for a year and I don't give the mirrors a second thought now. My wife however hates them........Lol!
