30 October 2018: FCA order status code KZ: Released by plant, invoiced.

12 November 2018: Dealer called, FCA order status code KZM: (First rail departure)... Truck is in Jacksonville, FL, less than 100 miles away.

13 November 2018: Truck is at dealership for Pre-Delivery Inspection & prep, will take delivery tomorrow (14th) morning. 10 weeks from order to delivery... seemed like an eternity, but actually quicker than anticipated.

Yep^^^8-10 weeks is the average unless the order has "low volume" options. That can extend it another 2-4 weeks. With the 2500 assembly plant being moved from Saltillio to the new expanded Warren plant and the Saltillio plant being converted to car assembly, dealers are surprised that scheduled production is holding at 8-10 weeks.
My replacement truck was ordered on 8/23. As of 11/12 it is in Milpitas Ca. About 100 miles from the dealer.

Nuthin' wrong with work trucks. In fact, in one respect they have it over the loaded up versions of the trucks...they are lighter!

Nice truck. Sometimes they pump them out fast. Mine took exactly 4 weeks to be delivered. I don’t know why they don’t just offer a carpet delete on all the models. I would have certainly opted for it on my Laramie and then threw down some rubber mats for grip. I hate worrying about the carpet getting covered in mud and stained. Especially in the winter I have to clean it often. Even with the all weather mats.

I can't remember where I read this but a few weeks ago I seen where FCA was thinking twice before completely moving the 2500's out of the Saltillio Plant. With sales as good as they have been they think the Warren Plant will not be enough to keep up with demand.
Mine took right around 7-8 weeks to be built but took nearly another 2 weeks to get it from Mexico to Ohio! That's what seemed like an eternity to me! The fact that I knew it was done but was slowly on it's way was grueling.
