Hey fellow dodge fans,

So I have a 96 dodge ram magnum V8 5.7 L that this guy wants 1300 for. It has 150k, needs new tires, won't shift into 4 high, but other than that is in good shape according to him. I'm going to check it out in person today and I'm pretty sure I want it for a summer daily driving truck (I gave my car to my mum cuz hers **** the bed). In your opinion is this a good purchase? I'm looking for a truck that will not cost me large money for maintenance and it seems the 96 ram is good but I hear a lot of complaints about the transmission failing and the fuel pumps leak.

Is there any advice u could give me?

Those magnum engines were also prone to intake plenum issues and oil consumption. Ask the seller if you could take it to a local mechanic for a good look over
