Newbie from RCC

Howdy All!

My name is Chris Van Decar, I live in Del Rio, TX. Grew up in Bellevue, WA, graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in 1989. Went Active duty in the USAF as a pilot shortly after. Served 11 year, now just a civilian teaching new generations how to fly.

I am a long time member of RamChargerCentral but have been dormant there for awhile (life just gets in the way sometimes). I bought a 2020 Ram crew cab, 1500 5.7 4x4 right at the end of 2019. My first Hemi!

I hope to contribute but more likely I will draining knowledge from y’all

Was UT at Austin full of liberal pukes back in your day? My niece is starting there this year and I worry for her...At 18, she's a gun loving Conservative to the core and I saw little of that when i visited out there.

Yes UT and Austin was about half full of lefties BUT also half of traditional Texas “Bubbas and Rednecks”!

Your niece will be fine, all big state colleges are full of liberal intolerance. She will need to find a group to hang out with etc with shared ideals.

Austin is a great if not crowded town,
