I bought a 2008 Dodge Big Horn with around 20,000 miles in August 2011. I loved the truck and never had any issues except this. In March 2012, I went to put something underneath the seat and there was a pool of water under neath the passenger back seat! I brought it back to the dealership where we bought it from and they sent it to the glass place to get repaired. They told us the drains were clogged and fixed the problem. (or so we thought) Fast forward to the present. It is leaking again. Now it is effecting both sides. We brought it back to the same glass place. There suggestion now is to change the back glass from the sliding kind to the standard back glass because there is a defect in the rear sliding glass. This would be a charge to me at over $450.00. Why should I have to pay this kind of money for something that I had nothing to do with it. It is a defect in the dodge. I have an appointment to bring it in to the dodge place but can't get in there for another week! They are going to do a diagnostic test to make sure that is the real reason of the leak before I go soak my hard earned money into something else. I guess I will just have to keep my bathing suit at all times while I am riding in there. Sorry for a long post! I just had to vent and see if anybody else has ever had this problem and if so, what did you do?

I recently bought an 07 with the sliding rear window. Been through about 7 days of rain since then. I'll need to check for leaks as well. I havn't had the back doors opened since i bought it.

If you do have to get new solid back window you should be able to get it for about half do what you were quoted.

I've heard that water may find its way in thru the 3rd brake light as well.

My 07 rear slider was real loose. U could push it back and forth. I cut some pieces of clear rubber hose in strips and wedged them between the frame that the slider moves on and the slider itself. See if urs moves and wedge something in there to push it up against the seals until they can fix it. And the 3rd brake light seal is definitely a joke. I had to silicone mine real good. I also took the felt looking stuff out from under the seat and cleaned it real good, then I sprayed it top and bottom with the duplicolor spray on bed liner. That way if it leaked again it wouldn't soak and sour that felt stuff. Good luck

The power slider in my 2007 is weather tight.

In answer to the question, if they don't offer up any warranty on the replacement (which I doubt they will), then there isn't a lot you can hope to collect from them unless you can prove there is a defect. Stuff wears out, misaligns, seals dry out, and that's just how it is.

They can't warranty everything on the vehicle forever.
