Hey Guys,

In a couple of days I'll be doing my first tow, a u-haul trailer. I assume the truck will handle this with ease. My truck came with the Class IV receiver hitch. Reading up on receiver hitches I see that class IV receivers are rated up to 10K lbs. What is the Mopar receiver rated to? I didn't see a sticker when I looked under the truck. Also I see the receiver on the bumper for a trailer ball as well. What is that rated for? I was planning on getting a ball mount and ball that matches up height wise with the trailer I'm likely to rent.

Your hitch will handle the uhaul trailer fine . It's hard to tell what drop you will need without seeing it.

Actually looking at my bumper was simple enough. The bumper ball mount is rated for 5000lbs and 500lbs tongue weight. But I'd have to use the receiver hitch with a couple inch drop as bumper ball mount is right at 25".
