Howdy all. New to the forums, new to Ram, and new to a brand new 2014 Ram Express Black Edition. Traded in my '06 F150 5.4L when I noticed some shinies in the bottom of the oil after the last change. Only 200 miles into my Ram and loving this truck already.

So as happens with every new vehicle, I've already started plotting mods and upgrades. Starting with protective/non-performance until I get details from the local service department about what I can get away with without causing warranty issues (never had a new vehicle before, so not sure).

Plans so far:
Smittybilt Smart Cover
Weathertech Floorliner
Clazzio seat covers
Westin or Lund side steps

The side steps are def necessary, since the little lady can barely get in the thing haha.

Any opinions/advice on which side steps or running boards are best? Keeping them black with this truck.

Thanks in advance :)

Amp research steps are what I'll get once I get my lift and tires.

That's gonna be too pricey for me, but thanks for the suggestion. Looks like the Lund nerf bars are the easiest install.

Westins installed very easily. Just make sure, for the love of god use the plastic washers other wise your gonna spend an hour digging a bracket out of the rocker panel. Don't ask how I know.

I got Amp research steps on my 2014 Ram. Tons of compliments from people. Looks very slick because they tuck under the truck. Highly recommend. Cost me around 1500$ including install. Siiiiiick.

Yeah that's the price I figured I'd pay. I know it would be interesting trying to get into my 2500 with an 8" lift and 37's! May sprain an ankle getting out.
