no cv on my 4x2

First of all, love this site, found so many answers on here for my dodge!

I have just discovered my 4x2 2002 ram has no front passenger side CV joint, or at least nothing going through the hub assembly. Correct me if I'm wrong but don't I need one, or at least something going through my hub? I'm really shocked that my mechanics whom replaced my tires a few months ago didn't say anything! I do plan on replacing my wheel bearings in the front, just wanted to know if I need to buy CV joints as well, thank you.

You have a 2 wheel drive. Cv axles and joints are only for 4 wheel drives.
