Not Your Average Tonneau Cover Question..

Any one know of a cheap soft roll up cover that does will allow the tailgate to open and close without having to touch the tonneau cover? The two covers I had on previous trucks required the cover to be popped before closing the tailgate and then the cover need to be pushed down to close.

I have the truxedo edge and do not have to touch the Tonneau to open or close the tailgate, but it's not cheap that's for sure.

I have the cheap TruXport roll up cover. I open and close the tailgate with the cover closed all the time. It drags a little bit but works fine.

I had the Truxedo like the above guys mentioned, it was great. Bought the cheaper Tyger roll up for this truck. Its equally good and half the price on amazon.

Yes it is, there is a latch on each side at the back.

I have the Truxedo Tri-Fold and absolutely love it. I was originally looking for roll up covers because I wanted to be able to have the extra space at the cab when the cover wasn't fully extended. What swayed me was the fact that the tri-fold clamps directly to the bed via handles and wing nuts (that are also adjustable), as opposed to having a frame and cross members that need to be removed. If I need to have the extra room, I simply remove the entire cover from the bed, fold it up, and either put it in the bed or leave it at the house. Honestly, it goes on and off in a matter of a few minutes. Hope this helps.

I had a soft tonno pro I bought used from Amazon. I didnt need to touch it to open/close my tailgate.

I have this, no need to have open to be able to open and close the tailgate.
