Hey everyone. I am searching for a set of OEM Projector headlight housings. I have a 2013 Ram 1500 Sport and mine are all scratched up and look like they went through a sand storm or sand blaster. I tried wet sanding them and now they are cloudy. I’ve looked at the Mopar parts site and vendors and I just don’t want to spend $1000 for both sides and a lot of the options for replacing them aftermarket-wise, I just don’t like. So, I’m hoping someone has a set for a reasonable price of the OEM headlight housings. I thought about going with the TYC but that little “RAM” word on the side of mine just makes it seem better. I’m not sure why, but it does. It may have been the few hundred blows to my head that I’ve had throughout my life??? Lol. So, let me know what you have (pictures would be great since I don’t want to have them cloudy or all scratched like mine are now) and how much you want for them. Thanks in advance!

If you like the 2019 style headlights, check these headlights out:
AlphaRex Smoke Black For 13-18 Ram 1500/2500/3500 Factory Projector Top and Bottom DRL/Switchback Sequential Signal Dual Projector Headlights https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RSW1FV6/

There is an ongoing thread about them, nice headlights. I have a pair waiting to put in as I'm adding the wiring to my quads for the DRL circuits. Being you have projectors you already have the wiring.

After wet sanding, did you try using a buffer? What is the finest grit paper you used?

I'm looking to switch my factory projectors in my laramie longhorn to sport or another style with more black in them, and will be getting rid of my factory ones. They are fine, just lots of chrome, which isnt quite my style. Would you want them?

I used a kit that my father in law used on several other cars with really bad headlights and it worked perfectly. I believe the kit said the final step was around 2000 grit but I can’t say I remember for sure. Yes, I used a buffer afterwards.

I like that look. The only thing that I don’t like about them is that when you turn the turn signal on you lose the top LED and that never made sense to me. Why not just make them both flash?? They upside of them is that they’re only $380 since I have the projector headlights and I wouldn’t add HIDs to them. Thanks for pointing them out! That might be my choice.

If you go with them order them directly through alpharex and ask for the adapter for truck's that came with factory projectors. It's a free adapter. You'll have to make one modification to them to retain the factory drl location otherwise it will move to the high beams. It's possible if you talk to them prior they may (if they haven't already) add the dedicated drl wire to the adapter. I know another member had suggested that to them already. If you do decide on these and want to upgrade to a brighter bulbs I recommend these

KATANA H7 LED Headlight Bulbs - CREE Chips w/Adjustable Beam - 12000Lm 6500K Extremely Bright Conversion Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07J5CWZDL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_E4GiDbE9H8VAP

Are they cheaper straight from Alpharex? I’m an Amazon Prime Member and the shipping will be free and possibly only 2 days if I go through them. Just wondering why go straight to the manufacturer vs Amazon unless there’s a savings?

Tax, technically, but I never ordered from alpha so I don't know if they are collecting for every state.

OTOH 2 day prime delivery is cool.

Unless they added prime shipping to these, depending on how close to alpharex you are it will take something like 3-7 or 5-7 day's for shipping. It says on their website. I'm in New York and ordered through Amazon and it took 7 days to get to me

I’m just outside of Chicago so it should take 3-4 days max and my headlights work. They just don’t work as well as they should or look as good as they should. Time isn’t really a big deal to me in this case.

Manufacturers drop out the white DRL lights on vehicles to make the turn signal more visible during the day.
It's interesting how people like similar looks but slightly different. I have the all chrome version and want just the top DRL. I wouldn't mind having the sequential turn signals, but I don't think the smoke w/dark would look good. Thanks to @jhick22 for costing me $$$ by posting pics of his silver ram with these(except I have the basket weave grill)..lol
