Just curious.......maybe I am missing something here, but even after cleaning, these oem running boards are still quite dull. If I remember correctly, even when the truck was new, they never really "popped".

Is there something out there to make these running boards shine better?

sorry, yes "chrome".......a very dull chrome.

I had oem chrome running boards on my silverado and they shined like they were supposed to. these are just dull and boring. Very unimpressive.

I doubt very much you can do much with that finish. It won't polish up like bare metal will. All you can do is keep it clean.

With my 1999 I had the same problem. I got the chrome off the aluminum (oven cleaner did the trick) and powder coated them.
