In checking numerous companies that sell 5th wheel tailgates I found none of them that offer one that will fit a 2019-2024 ram. The reason is that in 2019 ram reversed the way the tailgate fits. ie moving the left mounting bracket to the right hand side and the right one to the left hand side. (Ram is the only one that did this). Therefore you find a used tailgate off of a 2019-2024 have it modified to accommodate your 5th wheel pin box (the pin box attaches to you hitch) You only have to do this if you have a sort bed.

You have a 3500 truck right? The tailgate and bed is the same as a 2018. It's the 1500 trucks that changed the tailgates entirely in 2019. If that's what you're referring to, a 2018 3500 5th wheel tailgate should fit. If I'm not understanding maybe you can post a picture. The "indexed" pin on my 2018 is on the right. Are you saying yours is on the left?

I talked with Stromberg Carlson and they stated that a 2018 is a DS model and my 2019 is the newer DT model and the tailgates will not interchange. They also advised that are not making any 5th wheel tailgates for the 2019-2024 and.

I've found a place that is making V-Gates (5th wheel/gooseneck) for 2024 RAMS with the new pivot points. No this is NOT a marketing pitch, just that I looked for days trying to find mine. If interested check him out. https://www.superiortailgatesusa.com/ It's a nice aluminum gate, and he makes them for any year/make truck from what I understand.

That's the exact one I had on my last dually (Ford). It was sold under another brand back then.
If you ordered one, when you get it check the latches. Even when locked, you were able to open the tailgate using your finger to trip the latch. I always left it locked and used that technique. I also added a hose clamp around the one end of the pivot bushing so that it could not be easily stolen.

ONLY Ram 1500s , built in Sterling Heights, Michigan, have the DT designation, they are also referred to as 5th Gen Rams, New Body Style

All 2500 - 5500 Rams are still designated DS
They are all built in Saltillo Mexico
The 2 door, Regular Cab Rams are all , also built in Saltillo

Rams built in Warren Michigan are 4th Gen Rams, they are designated DS also

There is going to be a lot of confusion here. Classic or 5th gen. I would suggest determining which one you have and moving it to the correct section so that you have better luck figure this out! Just PM a Moderator and they will gladly move it for you.
