I found that I like to drain the oil hot and take the filter off cold. By placing towels and cardboard down and the filter being cold, I can manipulate it out with minimal spillage. And if I remember, disposable gloves help keeping oil off me

I saw once where someone cut bottom off 2 gallon refridge water dispenser jug. Rectangular bottom with spigot on one end.

There’s not a lot of room in there for a big oil filter, my sausage fingers and home made funnel of any kind. When the oil cools and congeals, it won’t run like hot and thin oil, so a few old rags will do the trick. Any residual oil can be added to the fluid film coating down there

Oil filter geniuses. Yea or nay? Fram XG doesn't seem to be coming back soon and amsoils seems to be continuously out of stock. I've got 2 left and 2 amsoil filters.

Used Ams Oil since purchasing a 2022 6.4 Power Wagon, used in 2024 with 6075 miles.
Only changed the oil twice since then. Almost ready for the next change. Not sure how good it is. A friend mentioned Ams Oil.
WIX Oil Filter 57060 (57060-EA) was ordered.

Royal Purple filters were made by Champion labs which is now Bankrupt ( they also made Fram). You could of saved money by buying the Champ XL filters which were essentially the same for 1/2 price. I ran those for years and still have a couple laying around but have gone to the PPE filter for my 6.4 Hemi. One interesting note is the sister company of Champ was Luberfiner whose filters are still for sale on Amazon. This may be old stock. I sent an email to Luberfiner's website which still appears active and am waiting for a response.

If I wasn't using PPE filters I'd probably go with Purolator Boss or Premiumguard filters.
