i have a 99 ram with A 318 and everytime i let off the gas my oil pressure drops all the way to 0. Also, when i am driving, my oil pressure is only at about 30 psi. i already replaced my oil pressure sending unit and oil pump. any ideas what could cause this?
thanks

Does this happen once the engine is warm?

Main/and or rod bearings are wearing thin. No...they won't knock, yet :)

It does weather it's warm or cold and with that many miles worn bearings does make sense... Thanks

I would think the oil pressure would indicate higher when cold settling down as it warms up. Regardless I would connect a mechanical gage to the engine to determine if it matched the factory gage or not.
