I have a 2020 Ram 1500 Etorque - recently acquired. Love the truck. With the start/stop feature, I noticed that the oil pressure on the start part rises to 61 psi, then settles down to 30/21 psi. It this common or should I have the oil pump checked?

oil pressure will be higher when the oil is cold, those pressures are typical depending on the type and weight of oil used.

If you watch the pressure gauge, you will see 30-35 LBs at idle with warm oil. As your RPM rises so will pressure, and top out in the 65 LBs range. Like crash said, when the oil is cold, just after startup, pressure across the range will be higher.

I have never had auto start so I don't know what RPM they hit when it starts but since you are leaving a stopped position and adding RPM I would not be surprises to see 60 PSI just after auto start and beginning to move. Turn off auto start, and you will see 35 psi at idle and it will quickly jump up as soon as the RPM goes up even 400 rpm as you go to move forward.

As we’re talking about oil pressures during start/stop here I’d say it’s more from rpm’s than cold oil. The engine doesn’t shut off long enough for the oil to cool off during start/stop operation. Either way, given the pressures you posted it’s nothing to worry about.
