I’m being too lazy to grab the VOM and play tricks …when I can simply ASK..and someone here will know the answer…(and that’s what forums are for, after all)….

I have a Diesel Ram 2500. It has two batteries.

Are they simply ganged-together..?? or is there some sort of electrical “smart” device separating them?

I want to put a battery-minder on one of them…hoping it’ll keep BOTH of them healthy…. because my truck SITS more than it’s driven.

Thanks for the easy-answer….(and hopefully no one will feel the need to lecture me for simply/lazily asking.)

The batteries are connected in parallel now so they produce 12 volts, series would give you 24Volts, so yes, just put the charger on the one battery and it will charge both. Just make sure you put the charger clip before the IBS.

I keep mine on a tender all the time. Hardwired a connection, and ran it thru the fender.
