Want to lift my 2012 crew cab 4x4, which just sits way too low (36.5 front/39 rear)! Thinking of doing Rough Country 2.5/1.75 leveling kit, 3" PA body lift and either 275/65/20 on stock rims or if able to swing it with $$$ go to new rims and 35's, but thinking much more cost effective to go with the 275/65/20's and be at 34", anyone have a similar setup? Any opinions? Also a buddy said he and I should be able to do the level kit ourselves to save a little cash, how hard is that? Then i was quoted $810 for the body lift installed. Also want to do Magnaflow 14". Trying to do this the cheapest possible and have it look good and come out good! any help??

Oh other thought was Bilstiens, how much would I be looking at to have those installed? Thought about doing those all the way around with 1.5 rear spacer?

Spacers and tires are going to be far and away the cheapest way to go. Bilsteins are a great way to go since they will help your ride as well. Price for installation is the varying factor. Some guys get great deals and others not so much.

level kit and body lift, maintain stock ride. as your not modifying the suspension drastically.

I have a PA 3inch BL waiting for me, currently just have the level, and running 35's

Id start with a level and go from there, since you only want to run 275/65/20 which would fit with a level. If I could start over again, Id go with Bilsteins to level! But I am also one to recommend a body lift, as I love mine! So if you do a level and a body lift, then you could definitely fit 35's! But if you kept your stock wheels, you may need spacers.

other thought for tires was change to a 17" rim and go with 285/70/17's, which i think are 33.8x11.2, might be an idea. Would really like to avoid spacers.

actually i think 285/70/17 is just under 33", so you could run those with stock suspension.

If money is a factor, get a HBS level kit. If you got the money go for the 5100 adjustables. Then later get a body lift if you want to go higher.

If you think you will ever do a suspension lift then you will definitely want the 5100's off the bat.

Ater some reading, thinking, consideration for future lift posibility, my thouths are now Bilstein 5100, set at 2.8, Bilsteins in the rear with a 1.5 spacer. Thinking with my current heights (36.5 and 39) it should put me around 39 front and 40.5 rear, which should be a nice stance since i tow a camper. thinking around $350 for set of four Bilsteins, $65 for 1.5 rear spacer, qouted $200 to install all with alignment. Then save $$$ for rims and tires and body lift. Any thoughts on doing this set up? Anyone know the model or part numbers for the Bilsteins? And is that a fair install quote?
Secondly the rear Bilsteins say acomedate up to 1" of lift, what does that mean, one inch more travel? Is this setup going to work? Also if you do a rear spacer is it required to do new shocks and will these work wit a 1.5 coil space?

I found a set of bilsteins on ebay for 210 shipped. Then bought TGC 1" rear spacer. Might have gotten the deal of the century as I got all installed and an alignment at a reputable shop here in Myrtle Beach for 240. Love the bilsteins. The only problem I have is the rear spacer makes too much noise as the don't include a second isolator for where it meets the frame. I am going to scrap it and go with a more expensive poly spacer. The stance is great. Measures 38.5 in front and 39.5 in rear. Next off to some 35's for 2 more inches.

Here is mine with 2" level and 285/70's on 17's if that helps. Picture isn't that great... I don't regret the decision at the time but now I would like more height and tire so in February going with 3" body and 35's

Pulled the trigger, installed Bilstein 5100's up front, set at max, 1.75" rear coil spacers and replaced the muffler with Flowmaster 40 series. Happy with the outcome so far.
