Outside Courtesy Lights Not Working Correctly

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Megacab. The outside courtesy lights always lit up when unlocking my truck with the key fob until about a week ago. The headlights, interior lights, cargo lights, and reverse lights come on when unlocking with the key fob. The headlights and cargo lights still come on but the reverse lights are very, very dim when unlocking with the key fob. The cargo light will go very dim before it goes totally off. When the cargo light button is pushed inside the cab, it is very bright and stays that way until you turn it off. The reverse lights will shine very bright when the truck is put in reverse. It is only very dim when unlocking with the key fob. I need help figuring out why it is no longer working as it did before.

Mine has always worked the way yours is working now. I didn't know that they did any other way. I'll have to follow this thread. Thanks

I have had the truck for three years. The reverse And cargo lights have always come on bright at the same time. I even have a Putco led tailgate light that has been on the truck for three years and now it will only light up when the truck is put in reverse.

I have the factory tailgate light that only comes with the duallys that I upgraded to LED and it works same as the running lights (the fender marker lights, etc). I honestly thought the cargo light going dim as it goes off after unlocking was a custom feature haha. Who knew? As long as the backup lights are bright in reverse and the cargo light is bright when I turn it on, that's all that really matters to me.

I know but it is nice When you unlock the truck the reverse lights and the tailgate light come on and light up a dark driveway. Both the trucks reverse lights and the tailgate light which are also reverse lights are led. I just like to have all working as they are intended to. Call it OCD.
