Overall height differences in 1500 and 2500

From researching on Chrysler I came across something odd. Seems the 1500 2wds are 1.5" higher than the 2500 2wds.

And then of course the 1500 4x4s are 2" shorter than 2500 4x4s.

Seems odd but thats straight from RAM...

Nahhh... really? I didn't think the 2wds are that tall.

I could kind of believe that. The 2wd 1500 is just a little truck. The 2wd 2500 is a work truck. Makes sense that the bed might need to be a bit lower overall if the target market is an affordable large work vehicle. Easy to load/unload gear.

Maybe the 2500 2wd comes with 31" tires? I dont think they come with 33" tires like the 1500s

In real life, 4x4's are much more than 2" difference. Typically, the 4x4 front fender is around 37" high, the 2500 is around 40.75" or so. Same for the rear, 40 vs 44".
