Overhead console help

My overhead console used to when my uncle owned the truck. When he gave if to me he said About 6-12 months ago the thing just didn't turn on one day an he never worried about it cause he never had time or money to mess with it.

It's gone through 2 headliner replacements he said an still worked but then all of a sudden it just stopped.

My question is, how can I test to see if it still works or not and if it's broke, where can I get another one for cheap and what years would work in place of mine?

Check the connections to see if any got disconnected. You could hook it straight to the battery, if it lights up it works, if not the then it could be a wiring problem or its dead. To answer your other question, junkyards will be the cheapest to get a replacement.
