What is the small white light in the area of the rear sliding window switch? It
reflects glare off the shift surround chrome edge which causes glare in driver and passenger windows. Very irritating.

That's your ambient lighting. Mine came from factory in blue. There is a way to turn it off, but I can't remember how right now. Maybe when the instruments are dimmed?

I think it's called (believe it or not) an "ashtray light" and is part of the Luxury group option package. If you find it glaring, a small piece of red plastic (or red electrical tape maybe?) over it should dim it enough that it doesn't glare off anything. Hope this helps.

I took my chrome trim piece out and plastidipped it for this exact reason.

I put black elect. tape over light..problem solved.
