p/s flare nut size?

i am going to replace my low pressure p/s line this weekend and would like to pick up some flare nut wrenches so i have the right tool to do the job.can anyone please tell me what size i will need to remove and replace the low pressure line going into the rack.04 1500 2wd.

also,do i need to use teflon tape or does the o ring at the end of the line provide all the seal i need?thanx in adv.

For the 2004 power steering lines the size you will need is an 18mm and a 21mm. Teflon tape is not required when reinstalling the lines. The flare and the o-rings provide the seal.

i am only replacing the low pressure line,would that one be the 21mm?

the wrench sets i am finding around here have one or the other,just doing low sd.,high press. sd. is in good shape.

the low sd. p/s line going into my rack is 20mm,mopar line.not 18mm or 21mm.i guess i should have just crawled under there before making two trips for a wrench

Teflon tape should never be used on a flare fitting.
