painting exhaust tips

i want to put black exhaust tips on my truck but they are costly is there a way i could paint regular tips black? would normal vht paint work or plasti dip?

Rustoleum High Heat paint works great for that application.

Yea just scuff it up with some sandpaper and hit it with a high heat paint.

I've also had success painting exhaust components (not just the tip...) with High Heat paint.

I really like the finish of the Ceramic high heat paint. It's a low-semi low gloss, but seems to be very hard / impervious once cured (a heat cycle or two)

Your best bet use high heat grill paint then high heat clear will look like this

awesome, ima buy some cheap polished stainless tips probably then paint them to use they should look pretty good on my truck
