Parking light out. Alfaobd doesn't fix it.

2018 truck with normal quad halogen housings.

I've got switch back LEDs in the front that work great (tried a different LED also) but I get the parking light out message only when using turn signals with the parking lights on.

I have alfaobd set to yes on front parking, rear parking, front and rear turn. Everything functions correctly, but that dinger won't quit. Halp!

The problem is the switchback bulbs. When the turn light come on the switchback bulbs completely shut down the park side. The truck sees the current go to zero and throws the code. A 300 ohm 1 watt resistor is enough load to stop the warning. An additional led bulb attached to the park circuit should also fix the problem (I haven't actually tried it though).

I wondered if that was an issue, but I have another set of just amber bulbs that do the same.

I'd like to get around doing any wiring modifications just to keep it all sealed and OEM.

If your ambers blink on-off-on they have the same electronic design as the switchbacks and will have the issue. If they blink bright-dim-bright they shouldn't have the issue.
