So I recently got a steal on one of these trucks (2013 Sport 1500 with 162k miles for 6,000) and it has a few issues, this one driving me the most crazy. My left blinker blinks really fast so I went and tried to replace the mirror turn signal because it did have a bulb, found out the connectors in the mirrors are annihilated and corroded so I replace both mirrors(passenger side was burnt) thinking it’d fix the issue, but no. My cluster says my driver side tail light is out when it isn’t all LEDs are functioning properly and all lights front back and mirrors work. I also checked my 3rd brake light and nothing. After so long of using the left blinker as well, it’ll say the driver side headlight bulb is out too? I’m super confused and hoping to god I don’t have an electrical gremlin.

You aren’t going to like my suggestion. I’ve bought too many used vehicles on which a previous owner improperly “upgraded” things. My current used truck I bought is a 2014 F150. The previous owner “upgraded” to LED bulbs for the front turn signals and LED tail lights, but used cheap eBay stuff. I had hyper-flashing turn signals and indications that both tail lights were out. When I pulled the tail lights I found that the wires going to the resistors were broken on both sides. Instead of trying to fix that I ended up buying OEM incandescent tail lights, and switched back to incandescent bulbs for the front turn signals. After doing that everything worked perfectly. Assuming it originally came with incandescent lights, I would suggest you try going back to incandescent all around. If you still have a problem after that it should be easier to troubleshoot with all incandescent lights it was designed to use.

I don't mind doing this as long as it fixes my issue, I've already been looking into replacing the headlights because they broke the plastic top pieces around the bolts so the headlights need changing anyways, what's funny about those headlights though is they're already aftermarket but not LED, they only have LED turn signals and none of those are out either. I just want this fast blinking to stop lol. Once I get paid I'll just go ahead and replace all the tail and headlights and call it a day, hopefully it fixes it.

I obviously can’t tell you whether that will fix your issues. But having aftermarket lights of unknown quality and functionality isn’t helping you with troubleshooting this. Going back to OEM parts will let you eliminate those as being the problem if your issues persist after that.

Do you have (or know anyone that does) AlfaOBD and an OBD dongle like the OBDLink MX+?
Sounds like the settings for the bulb type in the BCM may be incorrect. Super easy to check with right equipment.

You can use AlfaOBD to make and change settings for lighting and a whole lot more. There's an entire thread just for AlfaOBD, be sure to back up your BCM settings before making any changes.
The Sport model trucks came from the factory with projector headlights and LED taillights. The ORM LED taillights have a fault wire which tells the BCM there's a problem with the taillights. There have been multiple reports of people who get a light out fault but it looks like all the LEDs in the taillights work. Unfortunately there's no user service available parts in the taillights.

Hey everyone little update, I replaced my clock spring today and in the process removed my turn signal switch and after starting it up again my signal works normally now lol
