Greetings all,
I just bought a new to me 2016 Ram 1500 TorRed Edition Sport. It is supposed to have passive entry via the door handles. Unfortunately, the two fobs that came with the truck are generic aftermarket fobs (the keys blanks aren't even cut). They actually have the air suspension button on them (LOL). Everything on both fobs work. Lock, unlock, panic and even remote start work perfectly with both fobs. However, the passive entry is not working on either of the front door handles. No grab to unlock or button push to lock. I'm happy to buy new fobs if it will solve my problem, but is there something else I am missing? I did make sure passive entry mode in the UConnect screen settings was enabled as well.
