Yep, I've got MDS on mine, but I turned if off. I did not see an effect on my mileage either. Also glad to get rid of that drone, when it kicks in.

So, whats the majority, of the posts opinion? DOES removing the EGR valve effect fuel MPG?

For the tick you hear if it is an exhaust leak then it can be difficult to see. A common source of the leak is the manifold stud coming off the head can break off. Also dodge has taught its mechanics now to re-torque the manifolds because the bolts can back them selfs out as well.
