Can someone put steer me into the right direction for a Pedal Commander alternative? I really want one, but don’t want to drop $299 on one. They were on sale a little while back for $249 and I regret not getting one. Does anyone recommend an alternative that they use/used? Thanks.

Got mine installed last Sunday. Learned it will throw a code and put the truck in limp mode , when put into any of the eco modes. After clearing both and it still being in a eco mode . After starting the truck and still in park. I changed the setting to city -4. Sure enough got a code and truck put it self in limp mode again. Shutting the eng off and restarting clears the limp mode but not the ck eng light.
That will clear if battery is disconnected for about 2 mins. Need to spent the time playing with this more to see if it's going to throw a code everytime the settings are changed. Since I made the changes while the eng was still cold that might be the issue. Will know more as time goes on. Over all for its main purpose being the sport and sport + modes , it works as advertised. Hooo Yea !

Mine has never in either truck, send a limp mode....weird. But have mine on Sport now, and plan to leave it alone too.
I don't change it hardly at all.

Is yours a newer bluetooth version? If so then delete the app and re-download it. This will load the latest software of the app and then send the newest firmware to your PC unit. This doesnt happen often but when it does this process almost always works

Ive always wanted one of these to see what all the fuss is about, but just cant bring myself to drop the funds.

Cant you just push your foot further into the floor and get the same results?

Yes bluetooth. Will try that, but since I did the down load just this last Sunday . I would think it was the latest and greatest. The other thing was I did make the change while the truck was still warming up and thought that might be part of it too.

Its hard to state how much funner it is driving with it. My 2015 had one, sold it to my company, left it installed. LOVED driving it, even with 35's...
fast forward to the new 2019, and it felt dead on the pedal compared to my 2015. Very noticeable.
So got another, installed at lunch....ahh....what a wonderful feeling driving it now. Very responsive.
Had a coworker drive it, turned it off, as he has a Ram 1500...he stated felt just like his. Put on Sport, and I told him to go, and he took off and was like WOW!
Its pricey, but makes driving so much more fun.

It's awesome. Just keep an eye out for a used one in the classifieds section. Sometimes they pop up for $200. I specifically wanted the older, non-bluetooth version to avoid any codes.

Eco mode going into or out of. Triggers a code and puts my truck in limp mode. The guys here are right all 8 of those eco modes are useless anyways. The city -4 is fine though might even help with the mpg a little too. No matter the sport+ +4 is a blast.

Edit to add. The ck eng light will eventually clear it self. One ti.e it did pick up a message to ck throttle body. So cleaning that is on my list and I have what is needed to do that job anyways.

In the past I think that "dealers" were told by the manufacture what price the PC had to be sold at. It appears that this is not the case anymore as some outlets have been selling the PC at abnormally low prices with no adverse action taken by the manufacture. I think that the PC makes your truck a lot more "fun" to drive, fully realizing that there is no increase in hp or tq. It also works well with a tuner.
