Hey guys on Thursday i picked up a 2013 Outdoorsman Crew Cab 4X4 and was wondering why there is a difference in base price from the i bought and the other ones on the lot.I happened to notice this today when i went on the dealers website that i bought the truck from looking at the window stickers from the ones he still had on the lot.The reason i went on there was to see if they had better deals"so i didn't pay too much" i was bored.lol.So any ways mine was built in 11/12 and i think the other ones on their lot were built later on because of their vin numbers after the new year so did dodge increase their base price after January 1st because the window sticker on the other ones have the same standard equipment and my base sticker price is 36,740 and the other outdoorsmans are 37,300.So just wondering why the base price was different and when i do go to get another one maybe it would be better to get one built just before the new year to get a little better price before they raise it.lol

Welcome to the forum! With a difference in base price being that small...it could have been something as minor as Running Boards being on one truck and not the other. Or maybe one of the convenience packages, or spray in bed liner. My guess would be it was just a small difference in what the truck was equipped with.

Like chuck said, Mine had the chrome step sides and I did not want them so I had them take them off and they gave me a credit of $600 for having them take off the steps.

So it could be a mixture of a few little things that are on or not on the trucks.

No it isn't the sidesteps because mine has under options 525 for chrome tubular side steps. Also mine says limited slip differential on the window sticker as an option and i was looking at other threads that people didn 't get what they paid for and sure as crap i just jacked the truck up and spun the rear tires and they turn opposite of each other. That is not what i paid for all my other rams with limited slip when the rear tires are off the ground they spin the same way.So dealer will be getting a call about that tomorrow.

Chrysler changes pricing about 5 times per year. They update all the time but usually in September, November, January March and in May to close out the year that way the New prices did not go up %age wise from May to September. Just the way it is done. I am aware of many of the automotive manufacturers that have the same practice. Some times the price goes down and they give an extra rebate to accomodate the dealer to be able to sell the vehicle.
