Dads new second gen. 2001 with the 5.9. 130,000 miles. 4x4. Really good running and looking truck. Does have some little dings but what truck doesn't? lol

I took it for a test drive and it hauls some major ass. Well at least compared to mine. haha The plans are probably just simple things; Really needs to new tires, hes getting a camper shell and were gonna make a slide out bed system for his tools and equipment.

Stay tuned as I now have 2 2nd gens to manage but I wouldnt have it any other way! :favorites13:

Well here's mine. Slowly gathering parts as cash becomes available.

As soon as I get it running and figure out if the engine does need a full rebuild, the truck is a rescued farm truck and has 382,000 km on the clock. So it wasn't totally up to date on everything for maintenance. The only rust on it is on the top of the bed rails, The front of the box is pushed forward a bit, but an autobody friend says that's easy to fix with ratchet straps and some bracing. For in interior all it needs is a good clean and the driver's side seat replaced. All in all not too bad for 500 bucks. After it's running, first to go is the redneck deer hunter bumper and messed up aluminium side steps.

It had a camper shell on it yesterday, but I took it off and got it washed and threw on some Nevr-Dull

That bumper is the funniest thing i've seen all day, good thing is they are easy to replace. Be you she shines up real good, i'd just rip those side steps off, they look kind of trashy, they only thing those kinds of crappy steps belong on are Chevys.

I would slam some new headlamps in there and upgrade to LED. After a coat of wax it will be one good looking truck.

As for the bed, just get a bed mount tool box and throw it in there, you wont ever see the bend, and you get a place to keep fun things.
